Myrciaria floribunda is a fascinating tropical fruit species in the Myrtaceae family and a relative of jaboticaba and camu-camu. Native from southern Mexico through Central and South America and much of the Caribbean, it is grown for its attractive foliage and distinctive edible berries.
The small, aromatic fruits ripen nearly black, depending on the individual plant. They have juicy pulp with a sweet-tart, aromatic flavor.
